They are also affiliates of Friends International, an organisation dedicated to building friendships with international students in the UK.  We are here to serve you, love you and help you grow in your relationship with God during your time studying in St Andrews. Bible Study for International Students

We have a weekly Bible study for International Students to meet together and find out more about who God is and what it means for our lives to be changed through relationship with Him.

Each week we start by eating together, and then we discuss the Bible study.  Our studies are suitable for students from other cultures and for students whose first language is not English.  We read the Bible in our own languages, and then in an English version that is suitable for people whose first language is not English.

  • When? Every Monday 7-10pm
  • Where? 9 Shoolbraids, KY16 8ER
  • Who? The Bible study is for any international students. Students from other cultures, or students whose first language is not English, are especially welcome.  You are welcome to come if you are already a Christian or if you are interested in finding out more about Christianity.

If you would like more information or would like to join the group, please contact Stu.

Exploring Christianity

Every semester we run a Christianity Explored course for international students.

If you would like to read the Bible and learn more about Jesus and Christianity, you are warmly invited to come!
  • What? An 8-week course for people who would like to investigate Christianity. We will read the book of Mark in the Bible, and explore who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him.
  • When? Monday evenings, 20:00 -22:00
  • Where? 9 Shoolbraids, KY16 8ER

If you would like to join the group, please contact Stu.

Other Activities for International Students

In addition to the bible studies and trips, Cornerstone church also supports:
  • International Cafe - a weekly cafe for international students run by the St Andrews University Christian Union
  • Trips for International Students run by the University Chaplaincy and Friends International.  These trips help welcome international students to St Andrews by running sightseeing trips to places that students might not normally travel to.  Please join us for fun days out to interesting places in Scotland!
  • The University Chaplaincy Befriending Scheme - an opportunity for international students of any faith or none (who's first language is not English) to get to know local people and learn about British culture.  Befrienders are drawn from local churches, and meet with their students at least twice a term for a coffee, an outing or a meal.
