Shadi Langworthy

Born and raised in London, Shadi moved to St Andrews in 2010 to study Theology and Philosophy, returning in 2021 for postgraduate studies. Before joining Cornerstone, she worked in theological education within the Persian church, serving as Associate Director of Pars Theological Centre. In her spare time, she loves cooking and feasting with loved ones, going to the opera, and walking through Scotland in its different seasons. Shadi is married to Oliver, a New Yorker who lectures in the Divinity School, and is step-mum to the luminous Marcie. They are looking forward to welcoming a new baby into their family this winter.

Hamish Stirling

Hamish Stirling recently joined the pastoral team at Cornerstone, but he, his wife Hilary, and their two daughters have been attending the church for many years. While serving on Cornerstone's pastoral team, he is also finishing his PhD in theology at the University of St Andrews.​​

Heather Holdsworth

The Holdsworths arrived in St Andrews in August 2021 from Edinburgh. Heather heard about Cornerstone through her involvement in the Chalmers Institute – the learning community connected to the church. It has been their joy to experience and learn more of the kindness of God through the community here. Heather’s interests are in Spiritual Formation, the lifegiving connection between God and people, also in art, and swimming in the sea! She has been married to Adrian since 1997.

​Hailing from Northern Ireland, Rory first joined Cornerstone while studying Film and International Relations as an undergraduate student. After a brief career in fundraising down in Cardiff, he returned to St Andrews in 2024 as an intern with the Navigators, working alongside Cornerstone's student team. In August 2026 he took on the role of Pastoral Assistant for Undergraduates, alongside which he studies theology part-time through Westminster Theological Centre. When not walking with students, he's a fan of sea swimming, a lover of breakfast, and an amateur silversmith.

Xander is married to Abby. Having experienced a significant time of growing closer with God during his student years in Glasgow, he has had deep care for students ever since. He works part time as a gardener and part time in student ministry with Navigators UK in partnership with Cornerstone. He loves getting outside and listening to power ballads and recreating cheesy music. He oversees the sung worship at Cornerstone (trying hard not to make it too cheesy).

Colin & Louise Gillies

​The Gillies family moved a few years ago to St Andrews from Edinburgh, which had been home for Colin and Louise over the last 20 years, since their student days. Colin and Louise are both on staff with Navigators UK, a missional movement that seeks to help build God’s kingdom through relational discipleship. Through their roles with Navigators, they both serve with the student ministry at Cornerstone. They have three children: Amy, Fraser and Ruaridh.

David
​Sweeney

Administrator

David moved to St Andrews and began attending Cornerstone in 2024. He works as Cornerstone's part-time administrator while he completes his PhD in statistics with research focused on whale conservation. He is married to Stephanie, and together they love spending time in fellowship with their St Andrews church family.

Vic
​Walker

Vic grew up in Plymouth, where he studied Photography and as a member of Elim Church Vic studied Theology and started an outreach drop in centre. He later moved to West Sussex to become a business manager, where he assisted Elim to establish Faith through Action charity shop, which supports mission work. Vic became a Worthing Town Councillor and then Deputy Mayor and Mayor 2013-2015. Late in 2015 Vic moved with Rosemary to Fife where he is part of the Cornerstone Leadership team. Vic continues to be on the board of One Challenge Mission U.K. 

Tim & Becky Stojanovic

Tim and Becky moved to St Andrews in 2010. They have three children. Becky works with the Chalmers Institute and Tim works at the university. They have been blessed by the vision of Cornerstone being a community of believers seeking to follow Jesus, and are privileged to serve the church in living this out.

Sylvia
​Roberts

Sylvia has been at Cornerstone since its beginning. She is part of the Kirk Session. Ken and Sylvia have been married for 54 years and we have two children and 3 grandchildren.​

Emily
​Levey

Emily grew up in Newcastle before moving up to Scotland to study dentistry in Dundee. She has been a part of our church for a few years and particularly enjoys the fellowship and community at Cornerstone. Emily is married to Colin and they have 2 children, James and Rachel. As well as being an elder, Emily serves Cornerstone as our Safeguarding Coordinator. Graham
Ellis

Graham and his wife, Joyce, came from Glasgow to the area in 2023 and have loved being part of the Cornerstone Community. They have two grown up sons, one daughter-in-law, one daughter-in-law-to-be, and one over enthusiastic dog!

Andi
​Watson

Andi and his wife Rebecca moved to St Andrews with their four children in 2022. The church has played an important part in their family’s spiritual growth, and they have been particularly blessed by the friendships, fellowship and encouragement they have found here. Andi and Rebecca help lead one of Cornerstone’s home groups, and Andi was ordained as an elder in 2026. Andi feels very grateful for the opportunity to serve a church and community that has come to mean so much to their family.
